In this dynamic and challenging role, you will be responsible for engaging and motivating your team during their shifts to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. As an Area Manager, you will also be instrumental in ensuring that our customer expectations are met, guaranteeing that orders are delivered to the right location at the right time. Our operations workflow is divided into three major components: First mile, where products are housed and ready for order; Middle mile, where orders are hauled to your area; and Last mile, where products are delivered to our customers' doors. While our workflows may have slight variations, our vision and dedication to our customers remain constant.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and engage your team. You should be customer-focused, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service. Additionally, you should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail. A strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures is also essential, as well as the ability to lift up to 49 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
While not essential, preferred qualifications include previous experience in a leadership or management role, with a proven track record of driving results and improving performance. Experience working in a customer-facing environment, with a strong understanding of customer expectations and needs, is also highly desirable. Furthermore, knowledge of operations management principles and practices, as well as experience working with diverse teams, would be advantageous.
