About the position
Responsibilities
• Develop and produce radiation oncology treatment plans per physician prescription.
• Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists using computerized and manual treatment planning tools.
• Research patients' needs to create the best treatment plans.
• Perform radiation dosimetry functions including treatment consultation and imaging.
• Participate in departmental meetings and assist in teaching medical residents and therapy students.
• Engage in special task groups as directed.
• Perform treatment consultation, imaging, fusions, contouring, three-dimensional planning, IMRT, VMAT, SBRT, proton planning, and emergency treatment planning.
Requirements
• Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certification required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.
• Ability to learn and apply complex procedures.
• Effective communication skills.
• Strong decision-making and judgment capabilities.
• Strong human relation skills and organizational skills.
Nice-to-haves
• Graduated from an approved Medical Dosimetry Program through the American Association of Medical Dosimetrists (AAMD).
• MDCB board eligible status.
