A premier NYC litigation practice is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its highly regarded real estate disputes team. This group represents developers, major property owners, universities, and cultural institutions in complex, high-value matters that directly impact some of the city’s most prominent properties.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Managing litigation matters from pleadings through trial and appeal
• Drafting and arguing motions in New York state and federal courts
• Taking and defending depositions; overseeing discovery strategy
• Preparing witnesses and supporting trial preparation
• Appearing before administrative bodies, including:
• NYC Environmental Control Board
• NYC Loft Board
• Negotiating settlements and advising clients on litigation strategy
• Running multiple matters with increasing autonomy alongside senior partners
Ideal Background
• Experience in commercial litigation, ideally with real estate exposure
• Comfortable handling motion practice, discovery, and court appearances
• Strong writing and advocacy skills
• Interest in building a long-term career within a collaborative litigation team
