Summary
The Center for Medical Ethics and Health Policy at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a part-time Clinical Research Associate for a non-laboratory research position. The individual hired will be responsible for providing research support on a research project related to bioethics and health policy.
This is a part-time position with no benefits, offering a flexible work schedule between the hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Job Duties
Conduct legal research related to medical practice and licensing laws, as well as related policies
Draft summaries of legal analyses for internal documentation and publication
Support empirical research processes, including conducting relevant literature searches and contributing to ethical analysis and interpretation of findings
Attend relevant project meetings
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree in bioethics, humanities, public health, social sciences, or related field. Master's degree can be accepted in lieu of experience requirement.
Currently enrolled in a law program as a second-year (2L), third-year (3L), or Master of Laws (LL.M.) student.
Legal Research experience strongly preferred.
Ability to display a professional, positive attitude with strong interpersonal and communication skills is required, and must be able to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines.
Team-oriented, collaborative mindset with an interest in creating value in any situation through insightful questions and suggestions.
Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility in accepting work assignments, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, understand processes, and resolve issues.
Work Authorization Requirement:
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
