The role involves providing business analysis support for IT projects, serving as a liaison between IT and business programs, and assisting with IT project planning and management.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between ITSD and business programs
- Function as a technical lead for lower-level staff in the BRMS
- Provide Business Analysis support for California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) Information Technology projects
- Support the development and maintenance of Enterprise Architecture models
- Prepare technical documentation related to IT systems and projects
- Assist with IT Project Planning through the California IT Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) process
- Perform IT Project management duties
Skills
- Eligibility for the classification
- Completed STD 678 State Application with dates, duties and responsibilities, and contact names and phone numbers of supervisors
- Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 or the Electronic State Employment Application
- Resume is required and must be included
- Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required
- Submission of a copy of transcript or diploma if using education to meet minimum qualifications
- Verification of United States course/degree equivalency for foreign degrees/transcripts
- Ability to document business requirements for a new information technology project
- Ability to identify stakeholders for a new information technology project
- Ability to help stakeholders identify underlying business problems
