Key responsibilities
• Modeling and drafting: Create and manage detailed 3D BIM models and develop 2D drawings, plans, sections, and details from the models using software like Revit.
• Collaboration: Coordinate and communicate with architects, engineers, and other disciplines to resolve design changes and model challenges.
• Quality control: Ensure models are accurate, comply with project standards and regulations, and maintain a high level of quality throughout the project lifecycle.
• Clash detection: Identify and help resolve clashes or conflicts between different building systems to prevent issues during construction.
• Documentation: Produce and manage project deliverables, including drawings, reports, and shop drawings, ensuring they are properly documented and annotated.
• Standards adherence: Implement and maintain BIM standards and protocols as defined by the BIM Execution Plan.
• Quantification: Perform quantity takeoffs and cost estimations directly from the BIM model.
Required skills and qualifications
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of working on US projects developing BIM models and using Revit.
• Problem-solving: The ability to identify potential problems in the design and work towards a solution is crucial.
• Technical proficiency: Strong skills in BIM software like Autodesk Revit are essential. Knowledge of AutoCAD is often a plus.
• Educational background: B.E. or B.Tech (Civil) /B.Arch. / M Arch.
• Domain knowledge: Understanding of architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines is necessary for creating and coordinating models effectively.
• Communication: Good communication and collaboration skills are vital for working with other team members and stakeholders.
