The Business Development Associate role focuses on territory management, scheduling events, maintaining client information, and supporting the sales team with operational tasks. Responsibilities - Overseeing the territory management by preparing/maintaining/forecasting sales coverage - Scheduling and/or coordinating territory/corporate events, branch meetings and portfolio manager presentations which includes sending invitations, booking venues, catering and confirming attendance - Maintaining all client related information in our CRM database - Preparing correspondence and territory emails - Sorting and prioritizing incoming emails, answering/redirecting calls, responding to inquiries/requests - Assisting with special events by preparing CRM campaigns, ticket distribution and occasionally attending various social events with the team - Facilitating weekly team meetings with a prepared agenda - Booking all travel including air, hotel and transportation for the sales teams - Preparing/presenting monthly internal team reports to the National Sales Leadership team - Processing the sales teams expenses and cheque requests - Implementation of business processes to ensure efficiency and consistency of territory management - Team operational support with a strong focus on attention to detail and time management Skills - Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills - Excellent interpersonal, judgment and decision-making skills - Thorough knowledge of securities industry and particularly of the public and private markets and how they relate to Investment Solutions such as, mutual funds, ETFs, OMs, SMAs - Excellent knowledge of IG Wealth Management Solutions and distribution channels - Excellent time management skills with the ability to schedule time to work on the business - Ability to exercise sound judgment in responding to inquiries and servicing of Advisors - Good knowledge of all Microsoft suite of products and Salesforce - Successful completion of CSC or IFIC - Knowledge of French and English is required to support clients and Team members within and/ or outside the province of Quebec - CIM, CIMA, CFA, CFP are assets but not required - Preferably 1-2 years of financial industry experience, preferably at an asset management and/or wealth management firm Benefits - Competitive base salary, performance-weighted bonus, education/career support, option to join Employee Share Purchase Plan with employer matching component. - Competitive health and dental coverage, flexible plan for you and your family and short-term & long-term disability plans. - Voluntary Defined Contribution Pension Plan - Paid volunteer days, competitive time off, including 10 wellness days off, WorkPerks discount program, hybrid & flex work arrangements. - Living our core values: Be a Team, Be Accountable, Be Better, engaging with community through Business Resource Groups (BRG communities are volunteer employee-led groups formed around a common interest, identity, or background).
