About the position As an Associate Analyst in Demand Planning, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and execution of demand forecasts to ensure optimal inventory levels and customer satisfaction. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will analyze historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors to generate accurate demand forecasts. Responsibilities • Engage with sales, marketing, and operations teams to gather essential information for demand forecasting. • Participate in cross-functional meetings, fostering effective communication and alignment on demand planning strategies. • Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and relevant factors to produce accurate and insightful demand forecasts. • Monitor and report on forecast accuracy, proactively identifying and addressing discrepancies. • Assist in the development and maintenance of demand planning tools and models. • Utilize various analytical tools to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency. • Collaborate closely with supply chain teams to ensure seamless alignment between demand forecasts and inventory levels. • Contribute to the development of strategies aimed at optimizing inventory and mitigating stockouts and overstock situations. • Support the development of strategic initiatives to optimize inventory management. • Contribute ideas and insights to the ongoing enhancement of demand planning strategies. Requirements • Ability to analyze data and market trends to generate accurate demand forecasts. • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams. • Willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in demand forecasting. • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs. • 0 – 2 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or a related role, or equivalent military or practical experience. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant analytical tools. • Basic understanding of supply chain processes and principles. • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance. Nice-to-haves • Knowledge of demand planning software/tools is a plus.
