MGIC is a pioneer of private mortgage insurance, helping people achieve homeownership sooner. As an Associate Analyst, you will be part of the Finance Analytics & Reporting team, responsible for monitoring and reporting on reinsurance agreements, risk, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Creating and updating accurate reports, and dashboards
- Monitoring and researching data for quality issues, and escalating, if needed, to ensure a resolution
- Assisting with reporting requests; collaborating with senior analysts and cross‑functional partners to understand and clarify requirements
- Analyzing data and reports to uncover trends and patterns
- Developing essential data and business knowledge
- Assisting the data governance initiative by documenting data terminology and processes
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, data analytics or related fields
- Basic proficiency in Excel, Google sheets, or similar
- Basic proficiency in SAS, SQL, or other data programming languages
- Knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, or other data visualization tools
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Are eager to learn
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information clearly
- Are self-motivated, resourceful and a team player
- Have good problem-solving and analytical skills
