HR / Payroll Manager - SAP EC and ECP

About the position The HR / Payroll Manager will oversee payroll processing and compliance, ensuring accurate operations while working closely with a third-party payroll provider. This role requires expertise in SAP Employee Central (EC) and SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP), along with strong leadership skills to manage the payroll team and optimize payroll systems. The position is hybrid, based in Lisle, Illinois. Responsibilities • Oversee the end-to-end payroll processing for all company employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. • Work with third-party provider to ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and guidelines. • Collaborate with HR, Finance teams and third-party provider to maintain and improve payroll processes. • Lead the optimization of payroll systems, particularly SAP EC and SAP ECP. • Work closely with third-party payroll providers to ensure seamless coordination and accuracy. • Monitor and address payroll-related issues, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions. • Supervise and mentor payroll team members, providing guidance and fostering professional growth. • Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations and adjust processes as necessary. • Apply global payroll knowledge to support international payroll requirements for inpats/expats. Requirements • Bachelor's degree • At least 8 years of human resources experience • At least 2 years of management experience • OR At least 10 years of human resources experience • At least 2 years of management experience Nice-to-haves • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration preferred. • Minimum of 5-7 years of payroll management experience, with a strong focus on payroll tax. • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP EC and SAP ECP. • Experience working with third-party payroll providers. • Comprehensive understanding of payroll best practices and tax regulations. • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Strong leadership and communication abilities. • Experience managing a remote team. • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred.
