Join the Euclid City School District Team as a High School Social Studies Teacher Euclid City School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Social Studies Teacher to join our team for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year, with the possibility of a full-time position for the 2024-2025 school year. As a High School Social Studies Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and helping them develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners Teach a range of social studies subjects, including history, geography, civics, and economics Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and motivation Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and best practices Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress Requirements: Essential Qualifications: Valid teaching certification in High School Social Studies (Comprehensive Social Studies 7-12 or Integrated Social Studies 7-12) Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues Strong organizational and time management skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching social studies in a high school setting Familiarity with project-based learning and technology integration Experience with differentiated instruction and assessment Skills and Competencies: To be successful in this role, you will need: Strong knowledge of social studies content and pedagogy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to think critically and creatively Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work effectively with diverse learners Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: Euclid City School District is committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our teachers.
