Geotechnical Project Engineer

LaBella Associates is seeking to support their growing geotechnical department in the New York southern tier area. The role involves performing geotechnical field services, laboratory testing of soil samples, and preparing evaluations and reports. Responsibilities Perform geotechnical field services, which may include subsurface exploration layouts, drilling and test pit inspections, geophysical surveys, and construction monitoring Perform visual classification and laboratory testing of soil samples collected during the subsurface investigation Prepare subsurface exploration logs for use in geotechnical evaluations and reports Perform geotechnical evaluations and prepare report drafts for senior review Skills B.S degree in civil engineering or related field 0 - 3 years of progressive experience in the geotechnical field Driver's license required Position will require out of town field work based on workload (approximately 40%) Position will require ability to lift 50 pounds Effective verbal and written communication skills Possess a high capacity for self-motivation Ability to apply engineering principles to a variety of geotechnical projects Prior experience in a geotechnical laboratory is preferred but not required Engineer in Training (EIT) is preferred but not required Benefits Flexible Work Schedule Health/Dental Insurance 401k Plan with Employer Match Short & Long Term Disability Profit Sharing Paid Time Off Leadership Development Program Fitness Reimbursement Tuition Reimbursement Referral Bonus Program Wellness Program Team Building Events Community Service Events Company Overview LaBella Associates is an international Architecture, Engineering, Environmental and Planning firm headquartered in Rochester, NY.
