As a Post Office Loader at USPS, you'll be responsible for assisting in the smooth execution of various tasks, including mail processing, customer service, and logistics management. Key Responsibilities: Assist in carrying out daily activities, such as selling stamps, receiving and processing incoming mail, sorting and distributing mail, and managing general mailing needs. Provide excellent customer service by helping the public with routine postal tasks, such as updating addresses or opting for a temporary mail hold service. Ensure that all mail is properly reported and delivered to the appropriate recipients. Utilize document handling techniques to minimize workload and optimize efficiency. Perform various administrative functions, often requiring multitasking and adaptability. Contribute to the overall success of the post office by being flexible and responsive to changing priorities. Essential Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements: Be at least 18 years old. Be a U.S. citizen. Possess a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. Be able to lift and move mailbags and packages, as required. Be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends. Preferred Qualifications: While not mandatory, the following qualifications can enhance your application: Previous experience in a mail or logistics environment.
