About the Role We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician II to work on the front end of our pharmacy operations. This role is primarily remote, but requires onsite training in San Antonio, TX. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you'll be responsible for screening orders, researching, and accurately entering prescriptions into our computer system. You'll also be expected to think through and solve escalated prescription issues, direct questionable prescriptions to prescribers for clarification, and complete patient letters. Key Responsibilities Screen orders and research prescriptions to ensure accuracy and completeness Enter prescriptions into the computer system in a timely and efficient manner Resolve and enter incomplete prescriptions after clarification is obtained Direct questionable prescriptions to prescribers for clarification Complete patient letters and other correspondence as required Perform other pharmacy functions and duties as required Maintain 100% accuracy while keyboarding at a rapid pace Meet specified production and quality standards as defined by the management team Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: An active Texas State Board of Pharmacy license or trainee status A minimum of 3 months of pharmacy experience 1 year of basic computer knowledge and skills A verifiable High School diploma or GED Completion of a Pharmacy Tech training program The ability to read and interpret prescription terminology and medications General knowledge of commonly used generic drugs and their routes of administration The ability to understand and interpret Latin symbols commonly used on prescriptions Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate dosages and days-supply prescriptions Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge: Previous experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills Familiarity with pharmacy software and technology Ability to work flexible hours, including rotating shifts Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you'll need: Strong technical skills, including rapid keyboarding and accuracy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively Strong problem-solving and analytical skills A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care Career Growth Opportunities At NTT DATA, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
