Job Summary The Medical Billing Revenue Cycle Trip Intake Data Entry Representative will play a vital role in our Trip Intake Team, responsible for entering base rate, loaded miles, and wait time charges into our billing system. This is a part-time position, offering 25 hours of work per week, with the potential for overtime up to 29 hours per week. As a valued member of our team, you will work remotely or on-site, Monday through Friday, for 5 hours a day, between 8 am and 5 pm Central Time. Key Responsibilities Apply appropriate base rate mileage charges into the billing system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Apply appropriate wait time charges to the billing system, following established protocols and guidelines. Accurately assign accounts to the next department, ensuring timely distribution and minimizing delays. Ensure all accounts are worked correctly, allowing for efficient distribution to the floor and maintaining high-quality standards. Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Six (6) months of data entry experience, demonstrating proficiency in entering information accurately and efficiently. Ability to pay close attention to details, identifying discrepancies in data and taking corrective action as needed. Basic skills with Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use functions for sums and perform basic calculations. Experience with downloading documents from websites and accessing downloaded documents, demonstrating comfort with digital platforms. Ability to type descriptions of steps taken into the billing system, providing clear and concise documentation. Ability to gather data, compile information, and apply data entry steps accurately to accounts, ensuring high-quality outcomes. Preferred Education High school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a foundation in basic skills and knowledge. GED or significant, relevant work experience, showcasing adaptability and a commitment to learning.
