Job Overview As a Bilingual Customer Service Agent at blithequark, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch support to our customers. Your primary responsibilities will include handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with customers via phone, email, or in person, and collaborating with our internal teams to resolve complex issues. Key Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner Process customer payments, prepare bills, and make adjustments as needed Handle work orders for service disconnections, reconnections, and new orders Read and record meters and water usage, and perform field work such as installing new meters, repairing leaks, and assisting with emergency repairs Establish and maintain customer accounts, ensuring that account information is accurate and up-to-date Input and query databases to make financial adjustments and prorate changes Assist with special projects and other related duties as assigned Additional Responsibilities: Verify credit and deposit information Review customer correspondence and provide information about community financial assistance resources Review income eligibility applications, tax returns, and transcripts Instruct lower-level employees and transmit and receive radio communication to and from field personnel Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Fluency in Spanish and English Previous experience in customer service, preferably in the water utilities industry Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Strong problem-solving and analytical skills High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred Preferred Qualifications: While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Previous experience working with databases and software applications Knowledge of water utilities industry regulations and policies Experience working in a call center or customer service environment Certifications or training in customer service, sales, or a related field Skills and Competencies: To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Customer focus: ability to provide exceptional customer service and ensure that customer needs are met Communication skills: excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management Problem-solving skills: ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and implement effective solutions Time management skills: ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines Teamwork and collaboration: ability to work effectively with internal teams, including customer service, operations, and management Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
