Content Specialist

International Friendships, Inc. is a growing faith-based organization dedicated to providing hospitality and friendship to international college students. The Content Specialist will assist the local team by capturing, editing, and publishing engaging stories and articles through various media, collaborating with different teams on strategic initiatives. Responsibilities Interview individuals via email, phone or in-person to gather content Compile notes from interviews into written articles Write content to be published in IFI's E-newsletters, social media, website, donation receipts and more Update event registration forms Create video scripts, edit video and take and edit photographs at events Search for high value content by reading IFI MPD e-newsletters, attending presentations and other meetings, reading meeting notes and more Suggest content that should be shared, determining the appropriate medium and audience Format content for publication on e-newsletters, letters, text messages, social media and more Skills Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies Is faithful, loyal, and dedicated to IFI's mission from the Lord to extend life-changing hospitality and friendship to international students out of reverence for Jesus Well organized with attention to detail and ability to complete tasks independently Has a shepherd's heart for Internationals, a teachable and submissive spirit, and spiritual maturity Committed to sharing faith in the context of personal relationships and investing deeply in students' lives Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and Google applications Training, experience, or certification in creative writing Willingness to use/learn Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud apps, including, but not limited to, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator is preferred Experience in cross-cultural ministry is preferred Benefits Paid vacation, sick, holidays, and more (once eligible) Health benefits (medical, dental, and vision) for eligible staff Flexible hours and work-from-home availability Staff care to support mental, social, and spiritual health for all staff Company Overview International students often struggle with culture shock, stress, and loneliness when leaving their homes to study in the US.
