Chief Investment Officer

Job Overview The Investment Director is responsible for leading the entire lifecycle management of investment projects from a strategic perspective, including project acquisition, due diligence, valuation modeling, transaction structure design, post-investment management, and exit strategy development. This position requires a deep understanding of industry trends, capital operation logic, and value creation methods to generate long-term returns for the organization and shareholders through investment decisions and post-investment empowerment. Main Responsibilities I. Investment Strategy and Project Acquisition Develop investment directions, industry sectors, and asset allocation strategies that align with the company's development strategy; Establish and maintain a resource network including industry partners, financial institutions, investment banks, securities firms, law firms, accounting firms, and banks; Identify potential investment targets and develop project sourcing channels (proactive sourcing, exchange resources, business partners, startup teams, etc.). II. Due Diligence and Valuation Analysis Lead due diligence in business, finance, law, taxation, and environmental aspects; Conduct valuation modeling (DCF, comparable company approach, transaction multiple approach, asset-based approach, etc.); Analyze the target company's business model, competitive landscape, technological roadmap, and growth potential; Combine quantitative indicators (such as EBITDA, ROI, IRR, cash flow forecasts) with intangible value (strategic positioning, team capabilities, market multiple) to assess risk and return. III. Transaction Structure Design and Negotiation Lead the design of transaction structures, pricing mechanisms, performance-based agreements, incentive mechanisms, etc.; Conduct commercial negotiations with the target company's shareholders, management, and intermediaries; Monitor the preparation of legal documents (investment agreements, equity transfer agreements, cooperation agreements, etc.); Provide structural guidance for M&A integration (capital, governance, organization, human resources, etc.). IV. Post-Investment Management and Value Creation Participate in board governance or serve as a director; Develop operational improvement plans (cost optimization, profit model improvement, market expansion, digitalization, etc.); Monitor annual budgets, operating performance, key KPIs, and risk management; Assist with corporate strategic planning, organizational change, and management incentives; Drive the next round of financing, integration, mergers and acquisitions, or exit strategies. V. Investment Exit and Return Realization Develop diversified exit strategies (IPO, M&A, buyback, dividends, mixed ownership reform, asset divestiture, etc.); Promote exit execution, profit calculation, and profit distribution; Optimize portfolio investment strategies to enhance the overall return of the fund/family wealth. Qualifications Basic Requirements Bachelor's degree or above in finance, economics, accounting, law, business administration, engineering, or related fields; MBA/CPA/CFA/law majors preferred; Over 15 years of experience in investment, investment banking, M&A, strategic consulting, and industrial operations; over 5 years of project leadership experience; Preference will be given to candidates who have led complete investment loop projects (including post-investment and exit). Professional Competencies Proficient in valuation modeling (EBITDA multiples, DCF, etc.) and financial analysis; Familiar with industry research methods, corporate management analysis, competitive strategy, and organizational empowerment; Possesses excellent business judgment, negotiation skills, and transaction structure design capabilities; Excellent cross-disciplinary coordination skills (finance, law, tax, operations). Comprehensive Competencies Strong strategic thinking ability, able to identify opportunities from a shareholder value perspective; Strict logical thinking, strong resilience under pressure, and excellent integrity and professional ethics; Excellent communication and interest coordination skills; Preference will be given to candidates with management team capabilities.
