Applications Architect

Cayuse Holdings is a company focused on providing civil services, and they are seeking an Applications Architect responsible for designing, developing, and implementing applications for computer systems. The role involves directing the development process, overseeing technical staff, and ensuring applications meet user needs and comply with security standards. Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement applications for computer systems, ensuring they meet user expectations and company standards Work closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, and project managers, to gather requirements and ensure the application meets user needs Conduct code reviews to ensure maintainability and scalability of the application and oversee the development process to adhere to best practices Evaluate and implement software integrations, ensuring applications can scale effectively and perform optimally under varying loads Ensure that applications comply with security standards and data privacy regulations, protecting against potential vulnerabilities Provide guidance and support to development teams, helping them understand architectural principles and best practices Review existing system architectures and suggest improvements or alternatives Identify and resolve any application and data issues Monitor and manage the regular updates and upgrades of the software applications Other duties as assigned Skills 1-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area 4-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area 8 or more years of experience Strong knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#), software design patterns, and system architectures (e.g., microservices, service-oriented architecture) Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their architectural principles Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical challenges Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders Must be able to pass a background check Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a clear, professional, and articulate manner Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high-level attention to detail Ability to analyze systems and procedures Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple design streams across concurrent work effort Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field Previous experience in software development and architecture, with a proven track record of successful application design and implementation Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) Excellent communication, technical writing, and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work independently Benefits Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance; Wellness Program Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care, Commuter) Short-Term and Long-Term Disability options Basic Life and AD&D Insurance (Company Provided) Voluntary Life and AD&D options 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with matching after one year Paid Time Off Company Overview Cayuse Holdings is an economic enterprise that specializes in providing sourcing and diversity solutions.
